I just read about this online at the MPR's wiki news section. How cool is that?
Minnesotans will soon get a chance to view an original copy of the Declaration of Independence.
The document will be on display starting May 6th at the Minnesota History Center in St. Paul. The event is part of Minnesota's official celebration of 150 years of statehood.
I find that this is very interesting, and that would be something to see with my family a piece of living history.
And to think that this particular one was feared lost until found in 1989 in a flea market.
"They literally paid $4 for a frame," noted Ritchie. "They found this copy, it was eventually sold for more than $8 million."
Wow.
Have very snowy afternoon
